Wooo Hooo Dirt Diggers was awesome. Beautiful day and Great course. Race Day Cafe went off and we met some new folks and had a great prayer time.
The Bomb was a walk only and with my leg all gimped up I almost didn't do it but,,,I did, there was only 2 main lines for the quads the bushes were thick and lots of holes and cross grain washes in the bomb.
I lined up on the best spot Sunday morning and of course told team mate Bill Markel to line up next to me as he is in the points chase and so wanted to make sure he got a good start....
The Banner dropped and Bill got the jump on me...I couldnt stand the dust so I went hard left and got on an old trail that I know was there...It rolled me right behind the end of the bomb and into HOLE SHOT BABY!
I stayed in the lead For awhile then Mark Ornellias got around me in a Tech section that a slower rider went down and I zigged but Mark Zagged and made a great pass. Stayed in second until a road crossing made me stop and Bill and Ryan timed a perfect pass as the traffic cleared. I got Ryan back for a minute but the last month of being a couch potato caught up to me fast and I just could not stay at their pace...God is Good, had fun and cant thank Charlie at SLO BOY Racing enough for all the help and support at the pits.
Tuner of TBT has my shocks dialed in and that is awesome.
SO CAL National in two weeks See ya there Make sure you give God some time this weekend as we celebrate the Miracle of Jesus....Happy Easter...Peace
